Wow, how time flies. It's been 3 long years but all thats in my mind are the happy memories. May we continue hand in hand down this long, windy road :) together 4eva :) love ya :0

3 more weeks to the end of exams. Really can't wait for the day to arrive. And may i be blessed to maintain my results :)

Interesting Job

Things started to get a little more interesting as i went into my 2nd and 3rd day of work. The unfortunate thing was the need to come back on alternate saturdays which is why I am in office now! Then again, its a norm to work on saturdays for property management.

We walked into tenant's premises to see air-cons, climb to the roof top to see water coolers and to the basement to look at chillers. Walking about in the building definately helps to kill time. I also began handling calls regarding tenants' complaints. Most of them were friendly although i heard my colleagues talking about some unreasonable ones.

There was a guy, lets call him Complain King, in one of the units from an insurance company. He was sitting next to the window and complained that the noise from the expressway, since we are next to ECP, is distracting him from working. Thus, we sent a technician to check who reported that the window was properly sealed. However, Complain King was still unhappy and continued to call us and claim that we did not do anything to solve his problem. He even chided our admin assistant and threaten to storm into our office!

I think Complain King is a bit paranoid since he is not the only one sitting next to the window. Usually, people would love to sit there due to the eye-catching view from our Grade A office building; overlooking the distant Indonesia islands of the Riau Archipelago, Sentosa and southern islands to the west.

The solution: Buy an ear plug for him :)

Intership at CB Richard Ellis

Yesterday, I went to CBRE's head office at Standard Chartered Building to meet with with the director regarding the intership. The director, Marianne Ang, was a nice lady who told me what to do and tell me more about the job scope.

Today, i arrived at 78 Shenton Way, where i will be working for the next 10 weeks. Bus 700 was crowded with so many people; plus the jam was quite bad that i though i would be late on the first day of my work. However, things saw an abouturn when i reach Orchard area thanks to the provision of bus lanes. In the end, i was 25 minutes early.

Formerly Apollo Centre, now know as Shenton Building, it is undergoing construction to build an extension Tower 2. I was to work in the management office alongside 5 colleagues; The Complex Manager, Asst Complex Manager, M&E Manager, Pty Executive and an admin assistant.

The Complex Manager decided not to assign me any work on the first day and here i am blogging and surfing the net.

Shenton Building, supposedly a Grade A office building, looks rather old although the artist's impression of the revamped and renovated office looks excellent in the brochures. The systems in the building are non-intelligent at all as you can only monitor the components of the building but not control them. The only thing that can be monitored and controlled is the air-con. I went to check the web and found an article that state that Grade A buildings are generally those in prime locations, have column free floor plates, high ceilings and are well maintained. I guess Shenton Building does meet those criteria. The Assistant Complex Manager termed the systems in the BAS room "dinosaur".

This marks the first day of my intern job. Oh ya, i ate muslim food. The rice was quite appetizing and i finished everything as i was famished.

Exams fianlly ended with a big bang !!! Hopes that i will be able to do well ... somehow, the feeling's not right. This exam seems so different from the past 2 i had taken ... Nevertheless, I put my faith in God to bless me in maintaing my cap score, amen.

No matter what, I am really trying to put the exams behind me and look forward to December, one filled with lots of fun and joy. First up, going to Shanghai this Saturday. Will be back on Thursday :) Really looking forward to it and have some fun over there. It's gonna be cold out there. A song kept whirling in my mind:
" hao leng .... xue yi jing ji de na me shen ... are u my snow-man, wo shen ai de ren ..."

Next up, it will be a great christmas; hoping to see positive exams results so that i can play heartily during the festive season. Finally, I will hop onto SQ once again for a trip Vietnam with my aunt and company ...

Oh yes finally e birthday celebration is over !! Really spent quite an effort preparing e food and stuffs .. Fri was such rush cos i had lessons till 6pm and by e time i got home, it was already 7plus. Combined with e JAM at Bukit Timah rd n entrance of AMK Hub's carpark, i only managed to reach NTUC at 830pm! All was nt lost, i had prepared a long list of all e essentials and went straight into filling our trolley with food and stuffs :) Managed to get almost everything in by 10pm minus a few items that were sold out.

FAMISHED ...

Quickly went to S11 to buy this gigantic packet of mee fen and some "liao" to go with it ... gobbled everything away...

Carried on to marinate e poultries, massage massage, beautiful :)

By e time i finished, it was half past 1, quickly drove back home cos gotta wake up early e next morning to buy fresh seafood... my mum sort of knows e uncle and he gives discount... 2kg of prawns, 2kg of sotongs, 4kg of stingray to add on to e long list of food i bought from ntuc :P
my uncle even added in 100 otahs and 200 sticks of satay for my guest list of about 50 people...

Came sat and had to wrap all e seafood, poke in all e meat and stuffs, it was definately hard work. Thank goodness help came from dear, linda, hy, jt,wc,wr,cindy n siqi we managed to finish eveyhthing fast enough for some majong session !!

Then rain came!!! arghhh i was hoping n hoping but it kept on drizzling. Nevertheless, decided to get on with it @ 6pm. All thanks to weilun, Jm n Jl to help me start e fire. By 7pm, e little pavilion was bustling with noise :) e food was coming slow cos only had 2 fire pits. So e mee fen, curry, crackers, shruddles were running out fast !!

It was definately chaotic but great to see so many frens. Little joy was having e most fun going around to take pictures. In e end, there were so much food left n no one could eat anymore !! hmm quite sad to have wasted so much food but better than having nt enough food. The 2 cakes were delicous courtesy of VILLAGE n PAVILION ~~

Received several pressies n i thank my family, dear n family, all my frens n relatives for coming to make e day a special one ... e pics should come in shortly i hope :)

busy busy day !!! look at all e notes on my bed ~~ studying is tiresome and boring !!! but reading a little everyday beats having to gobble up e book when exam come :)

Went for this steamboat at CRYSTAL JADE (HOLLAND V) on monday. It was Awesome :) Free flow of Xiao Long Baos and lots of sliced beef, pork and mutton. There are appetizers, drinks,desserts as well. Very value for money, net price at $21.50. This buffet is highly recommended~~~ When viv told me i was like "huh... since when did crystal jade hv buffet?" As real as it can be, had an early birthday dinner with viv and bf plus her fren (dunno is call siti or ..), yiling, candy, moses and dear. thanks gals for e treat ~~ The only not so perfect thing was that we got to starve ourselves till 830pm when it starts but u can certainly eat till u 'song'.

With friday arriving, dear and I are pretty excited about going to buy the food and stuffs for saturday's BBQ. Talking about "dear and I", gets me so frustrated cos no matter how many times i tell my china boy(tutee) that he cant write "he and I", he still does it ! He also had e cheek to repeat mistakes i taught him juz 2 days ago !!! taboleh tahan ~~ okies ... digress a little :) so my dear is now trying to crack her brains for a theme on sat !!

Sat is going to be a busy day as well cos gotta wake up early to buy fresh seafood before going to dear's house to prepare e food. cya my frens on sat !!

Oh ya, and my dear juz cant take it when i speak to her in PERFECT english. i guess it was too perfect she could not take it. The other day, she was looking at a pair of shoes, i kept repeating "the shoe is awesome." She was saying "can u dun repeat e same thing?" SO i went, " well, it looks as though the shoe was made for for your legs :)"

SHE FAINTED !!

and refused to speak to me unless i return to channel 8 ...

school reopens ~~

School is finally beginning. Today marks my 2nd year in university though i am officially considered to be a year 3, ironic !! Nevertheless, i hope this semester will be a better one than last semester. My mind seems to be so calm now somewhat. Went for church service last Sunday and the pastor somewhat caught my attention and touched my heart. For now, i will always remember this line, " Ask and you shall receive" !!

It's such great cos u know u are blessed. Being able to see my school mates again was great. Badminton was fun yesterday, having made the 2 gals run like mad !! whhhaaa isnt that what badminton is all about ~~ nevertheless feeling a little ache here and there now :)

Somewhere, somehow i am beginning to look forward to this term cos i know it will be a great one minus the exam period !! For now, i am worries-free and i hope my family and loved one, frens around me, and everyone i know can feel the calmness that words cannot describe.

Sure we all have problems but if you look at e world, you will actually find that yours is such a small one. So, rejoice ppl :O

Chiang Mai

Day 1 : Arrival at Chiang Mai airport, meeting our tour guide Xiao Hong, thai of yunnan descendents, able to speak fluent mandarin ..

First stop, headed to a temple on a high hill. Coincidently, it was the emperor's birthday. Yes, i haven typed wrongly, you thought emperors were only on Tv, but above is truely the emperor and emperess of Thailand.

Found this lovely-looking golden tortise in the vicinity of the temple. In Chiang Mai, 90% of them are buddhist...

And next we headed to our hotel, this very fine looking 4-star hotel that is majestic. Rooms were spacious with luxurious lobby and walkways ...

Inside our tour package was this gala dinner since it was the eve of the new year. 2000 baht per head !!! Countdown dinner with central stage and performances...

We had this bottle of red wine for a starter. Only $40 bucks !!! Quite cheap considering a hotel standard !!! There were approximately a hundred tables !!!

Fresh seafood with a choice of BBQ or steam !!! Prawns were fresh and gigantic ~~ yummy :)

There were sushi and sashimi available though we didnt try for fear of tummy ache ..

Day 2 : Embarked on our tour to this famous hot spring. Water is over 70 degrees, cant enter for a soak ... However this intersting thais came up with the cooking of what they call " fountain eggs". Thus, we bought a basket to cook, eggs were fresh and delicious :0

Look at the smoke behind us, staying near the hot spring were comfortable as the weather was rather cold !! grrr ...

Next, we came to a village where several tribes were housed for some performances and viewing to see how these tribes of chiang mai live...

Haa, walking is not easy for the young and old. So i guessed they were thoughful to provide walking sticks ~~

This is their see-saw ... emm they swing much much higher though !!

I remembered this tribe though... Look at all their ears ~~ The "Big Ear" Tribe !!!

This is what many of us have seen on Discovery. The "Long neck" Tribe!! We took a pic with e prettiest lady in their tribe, ie e longest neck !!! However, having that 5KG thingy round the neck is not easy though ...

Next, we went to the Golden Traingle, the borders of Thailand linking to Laos and Burma.. We even had the chance to visit this small town in Laos and shop at the most Northen part of Thailand, a bridge away from Burma...

Day 3 : Visited the orchid farm .. Haiyo but they dunno thats our national flowers and the vast variety we have in Singapore. keke ...

Went to the zoo and had this close encounter with some elephants ..

Amazing !!! Couldnt believe my eyes ...

Ox cart ... rather rocky ride ... Had the elephant ride of course before this ~~

The slow, calm river rafting ..

There, the trip quickly came to an end...

But much was learned about the culture of Chiang Mai ...

The Northern part of Thailand and the coolest part of the country ...

Not to forget, a place full of imitations ... pradas, gucci , Lv , all along the night market ..

Melbourne

Day 1 ( 9pm , S'pore Time) : Changi Airport , Flight SQ227 to Melbourne !!!

6D/5N with dear and family :)

Day 2 (7am, Melbourne time) : After a long 7 hours, we finally arrived at Melbourne Airport :)

Onto the coach we went to embark on our new journey ...

First up, The Werribee Open Range Zoo !!!

Following that, a visit to the Parliament of Victoria, very majestic looking building

Visited the Cathedral as well. My aunt said the people here originated from Italy, no wonder the buildings looked alike those we can find in Rome !!

Last but not least, we visited a reprical of Captain Cook's house when he founded Australia i believed :0 before heading to our hotel " Citigate Melbourne"

Day 3 : Visited Sunny Ridge strawberry farm :) Happily plucking my strawberries, each person was given a box to collect the sweet, fresh and juicy strawberries :p

There you go, our collection after some hard work !!! But she pose pose only lar, both boxes were collected by me !!

We visited a winery and had lunch at an italian restaurant , i had salmon while dear and family had duck :)

To finish off the meal, warm choc cake with ice cream :p yummy !!!

Following that tasted some of the wine, took a last shot before heading to the next destination

Visited this Shanghai Szechuan Restaurant for dinner :) Ironically it was famous for its chilli food, therefore most on the menu were spicy food. Because dear's parents were not exactly the best of chilli lovers, we ordered 4 dishes all without chilli :)

Supper at night was McDonalds and of course the lovely strawberries dipped in chocolates :)

Day 4 : Visited the Victoria Flea Market, followed by a mega shopping mall ~~

Lunch at the farm, i had the mixed combo of chicken and beef :P

Close contacts with several animals but i just want to highlight this troubled kangeroo. Didnt want any food fed to it. So seeing its misery, i instructed it to jump into the river to end its plights (:

Day 5 : Free and easy day, went walking about the streets, saw thus cute little dog in a shopping mall

Day 6 : Had donuts from Krispy Kreme, known to be one of the best in Australia !!

Recovery

Thank God, i think my leg recover just in the nick of time to carry on the activities lined up for the week. Thought it still hurts a little, its in a much improved condition! Just went to post office to collect an item for dear with my brother and subsequently went to Fajar to eat something. Wa, the speciality of the noodles stall, mee really not bad. When we reach home, i was astonished to see yet another letter from post office asking me to collect another of dear's parcel!!!! ARGHH !!!!

Lots of activities lined up for the week. First, a BBQ tonight with Lester and company. Following that, movie session and Karaoke with dear on Friday before bowling in the night :) Saturday is another BBQ session, this time with Dear's SIM classmates. Rounding up the week, we have a gathering at my house with Village. I think my neighbours' will get an earful with Karaoke, Majong and rounding the night with steamboat :)

So my dear little left leg, please be blessed to recover asap please :)

Forgive & Forget

Forgiving and forgetting is not something hard to do. All it takes is some effort and the task will easily be accomplished. But more often than not, its not easy for people to do it. However, i would urge all my friends to put this into practice because hatred, in the end, will cause even more unhappiness and anger. So remember this teaching from yours truely :) Once u learned this, i believe everyone can live in peace and happiness :) But its not easy i know !!

Yesterday evening, my mum brought me to a chinese sinseh to rub my leg. In the end, i had a bandaged on and never left my house today for fear that the injury will be aggrevated. Thank you Weiru, Dada and qiaoli (mum) for visiting me :) I truely appreciated it.

Unfortunately, more often than not, the night don't usually end a good one. Something unhappy happened and i certainly hope it will quicklybecome a history of tomorrow and disappear. However, it always do not happen the way you want it to be. It always have to go through the process of bitterness and the feeling of miserable before it can even be resolved. So much frustration boils down to the heart only god and i can understand. I guess time is the ultimate cure for only it can heal all wounds.

Hai~~ was having my morning jog when i suddenly felt this sharp pain on the part of my left leg below the ankle. Initially i thought it was going to be fine and i continued with my jog. Somehow, it worsen and i finally stoped at a bus stop to check out the conditon. It was a little swollen and i had to hobble to a neaby void deck to rest.

After sometime, i managed to bring myself to a nearby bus stop. I had no loose change but a $10 note with me and there wasn't anyone that had change with them. Fortunately, a helpful guy offered me $2 worth of coins to take a bus!!! Hee, must be my looks lar, see me so pitiful so offered me some money. Afterall, people in Bukit Panjang are still very helpful~~ Thanks !!

Finally the examinations is all over !! What a boring period it was, having the same routine everyday. Now, all is gone and i can finally heave a sigh of relief :)

How fortunate i was as well to finish my papers so early while others are still slogging out there. All the best to everyone. Sitting at home now, watching DVDs, msning, and slacking is such good time :) Planning for a tennis session later with JT and company.

Celebrated Qiao li's belated birthday last sat, eating at Waraku and finished the night at a KTV pub before heading to dear's house. Hopefully, more activities will come along before i head for Melbourne in 2 weeks time :)

Well, work is piling, exam's coming, life gets busy, nevertheless i always take some time to breathe, real hard this time. With the relief that all those mid term tests are over, i came to realize that project deadlines are rounnd the corner and the exams are emminent.

However, there's always room for some relaxation ya. Celebrated 11 month anniversary with dear at East Coast 2 weeks back. Well i shant go into details, everything detailed is in her blog, mine is just an overview :) Also had time to celebrate weilun's 23rd birthday while meeting so many classmates. Had bowling session with part village, part poly gang people. Laughed real hard that day and was totally exhausted.

Back to school, its yet another busy week. Projects, tutorials, lectures, tests juz cannot fade away! Nevertheless, had spring cleaning yesterday with dear's help. Cleared 3 big bags of thrash and rearranged the formation of my room. Things look fresher when everything moves! And den back to reports now !!!! Argh ~~~

I guess life's afterall so hard. Its definately not easy to understand someone, all the more its hard for others to understand you. I mean sometimes i find myself so hard to understand so how on earth can others completely graspe my thoughts?

No one's perfect, no one can sees each other completely, all the more no one can see beyond the horizon when caught in a situation. It is always that moment of inablility to control that leads about conflicts and unhappiness, yet i would safely say that few in this world can have that ability. Perhaps animals can but i just aint sure about humans.

I guess i am the only one on earth who can understand and tolerate myself, not that others cant but i am confident they wont be able to do better than me. Humans are constructed with different needs and wants, we cannot understand each other but i guess only compromising can help solve all problems.

Enough said, its back to studies! May i be blessed to do well in my soci test~~

Well, today was a day out to bugis: Bugis Junction, Bugis Street, Bencoolen Shopping Centre and OG but i bet many haven come across this, Burlington Square!! Not that it has anything interesting inside but i was introduced to this authentic Korean provision shop some years ago selling products ranging from tidbits to maggi mee to frozen food, all imported from Korea. So price surely a bit ex la and given my pattern, i see see only lorz :) an ideal place for korean freaks~~

Well, the other day i went to Faculty of Law with my classmates and while walking along the corridors, it reminded me of SAFTI. Well, they always leave the best for the elites right? I saw this very cute looking "lizard?", "chameleon?". It was smiling at me while i was taking a picture of it :)

Was taking some pics the other day with dear. I decided to make funny faces. Sub-consciously i did this. Dosen't it look cute?? Dun look like me right but still suave as eva ~~

Was browsing thru the many photos in dear's photo album and suddenly came across this taken 2 yrs back!!! Wee, very pretty right?? I like the big big eyes and toot toot mouth !! whaaa ~~ cheers ~~

'Live The Dreams"

Anyone watched "Live The Dreams" on channel 5 today? I was watching TV yesterday when i came across the commercial. Thinking that it should be quite entertaining, i decided to watch the live telecast. For 1 thing, i love hearing contestants sing!!!

I should say that the contestants were quite good. After all they were the last 6, shouldnt be that bad :) There was only 1 girl left in the competition but she sounded the best amongst the 3 solo singers. I thought the last band had the best voice but i cannot remember the name !!!

However, something quite disturbing happened. Not that i minded but i thought that should not happen on TV. Dick Lee was giving his comments saying that the band did not put in effort in the song at all. The lead singer, arguely the best male singer around, turned behind to take a mike and Dick Lee asked if they were not interested in his comments. The Malay singer said no, he was merely turning round to take his mike. So i think it was so stupid when Dick Lee asked him to repeat what he commented which the singer obliged as though taking the roles of a primary school student and his teacher.

The lead singer seemed to have lost his cool and when Ken Lim said that the performance was poor, he immediately replied "thank you". I thought that was quite disrespectful to the judge. However, i think Ken Lim must have annoyed many with his type of critical comments and asking of the fans to keep quiet and listen to him.

However i was delighted as the band cameback with an outstanding 2nd performance of the night. They may seemed arrogant to many but i really like the voice :)

The tale of 2 umbrellas~~

Well well this had got to sound unbelievable but its True Singapore "Ghost" Story. Replace ghost with umbrella instead :)

I remembered clearly it was a Thursday, 2 weeks ago on 20th Sept, at the Sociology lecture theatre that Viviane came to me, in front of her my "raindrops" umbrella. Well, i named it raindrops as it certainly looks like one, just look at the picture! I was packing my bag the night before and had decided not to bring "raindrops" along to lighten my load.

"No wad, cannot be wad, i didn't bring my umbrella today ma, how can i drop it!" i exclaimed. "It's really yours, just now i picked it up at subway below the chair you were sitting on before you left." she convinced. Half believing her i replied "really meh", den took a good look at the umbrella and saw the torn part of the umbrella that i had accidentally caused on "raindrops". "Oh ya maybe i forgot la, i think its mine, thanks."

There almost 2 weeks past and nothing happened ...

Just today, she asked me how was my umbrella. Puzzled by the question i asked her why she asked me that. Thats when she told me she had actually not picked up the umbrella from subway but from a lost and found counter at Yusof Ishak House near the photocopying room, somewhere that i have never been before. Puzzled, i told her its really mine as i have not seen another similar umbrella at my house and the umbrella has signs(torn part) that proof that its mine. She said she was sure it wan't mine as i couldnt have gone to the photocopy room before. Then, Yiling mentioned that we shouldn't use other people's umbrella as there might be "ghost" in it and joked that the ghost might have prevented me from finding "raindrops".

I got home and was bemused to find "raindrops" hiding in that 7-11 plastic bag i have always contained it in. Confused by what to do, i approached my mum. She told to put the umbrella back to the lost and found counter but i complained that its too far away. "Leave it in the car" she instructed. Then i told her what Yiling mentioned. She agreed, thus told me to leave it downstairs on top of the letterboxes instead.

So i picked up fake "raindrops", was heading downstairs when i suddenly had an "errie" feeling. I decided to call dear but she was busy doing project!!! So i quickly went downstairs, constantly looking behind me to make sure that "nothing" was following me :) I had to secretly leave the umbrella on the stool instead of the letterbox as there were many people around. Pretending to open up my letterbox after discarding the umbrella, i quickily made my way home :)

What amazed me was it was going to rain soon as an uncle sitting in the void deck was carrying an umbrella in his hand and i overheard 1 housewife asking another if she had kept her clothes due to the oncoming rain ...

This had really been a tremendous week. To start off, it was a well deserved 1 week break after several weeks of studying although many would agree it wasnt exactly a break. To add more glory, Man utd beat Chelsea 2-0!!! I attended Kenneth's birthday and farewell party and met many army pals. All the best in Sydney!!

DEAR rounded off my Monday with this surprise. How timely it was as i was juz lookin' for some supper!!!

Tuesday was not too bad, first studying at coffee club(pacific) before going for movie "invasion" . Boy it was nerve-wrecking. Almost got me off my seat in several scenes.

Wednesday saw the arrival of this newborn baby gal, Tagen, i think can get into guinness book of record, newborn with most hair!!! Sleeping so soundly despite the commotion :)

Thursday was rest day, no studying. Was in school doing project and too tired for anymore studyin by the time i got home.

Friday, its bowling time again !!! 2 weeks since the last bowling session with family. Its such a fun game :o

After a 20 days layoff i am finally back to update myblog. So tired and busy every night with school work, i just lack the energy to update my blog. Now that it's a short break, i can finally catch my breadth.

A great lantern festival once again this year with bbq and the yearly carrying of lantern. I should say the attendance was great and perhaps even more than ever, with the addition of more members to the small village. Only my enemy, who had something on, failed to turn up. Otherwise, it was an all high attendance!

Feeling so tired now, yet forcing open my eyes to put in this entry. Had been really busy over the past week with school work and projects. Nothing interesting really happened. Everything was so routined and the cycle just continues, waiting for no man.

Life is really a hell of a rush. The pace is so tremendous, you cannot even take a break. Nevertheless i will try my very best and in my heart i know the holidays will eventually come. So its all hard work now so that i can peacefully enjoy the fruits i bear during the holidays!!

My mode of life is really like jogging this morning. I was tired, breadthless and everything just didn't go right halfway into the run. Nevertheless, i persevered knowing that giving up would just waste all the effort i had asked for prior to the run. This never-say-die attitude shall live in me now and forever :)

Had been eating a lot over the past week. First it was buffet dinner for dear's birthday at Traders, then another buffet dinner with dear and family at Mariott before finishing off the weekend with delicacies from Bedok hawker centre.

Looks like its time for some jogging!! Nevertheless, i have been trying to keep up with my level of fitness although i have ORD-ed!!! I had trained so hard over the past 2 years, 22 months to be exact as some will argue, don't want all that to go to waste.

It really takes enough determination to achieve my target with endless rounds of notes to read and projects in hand. So i must continue to motivate myself!! "Yes, i can do it !!! I am the best amongst the rest :) "

It may sound stupid but never underestimate the power to motivate oneself. It can be so little, yet so big. Let me share with you my ways of staying happy!! Top of the list, singing during bathing. Try it, sing your hearts out, it will definately help :)

Happy Birthday Dear!!! This is where i brought her to for dinner on Wednesday. Glad that she enjoyed herself. The food is both fresh and delicious. So do take note of this place, Cafebiz at Traders Hotel. I am sure you won't miss the restaurant, right at the entrance of the hotel. Riding on SBS is no longer a journey, i would says its now an experience! Look at what they have come up with!!! And yes you have not seen wrongly, those are pictures on the seats i took on a SBS bus this afternoon.

The second picture is round seats where u can seat comfortably with yr own personal space. On your left was the most interesting one, two seats facing the window which has a little table and picture of a man with many alcohol bottles behind him(top), the feel of a bar. Just wonder if anyone will sit facing the window with a row of passengers behind yout back. Seemed weird but i guess i might if i am really tired that day:)

The interior of the bus was like those of the mrt where everyone faces each other. It was a delighful sight. Whats more, all the seats are of white leather making it look classy and pure. I certainly wouldn't mind taking the bus more often if i see more of these sights :)

Today, i was caught in the rain with yl and viv on our way to the arts faculty. So we decided to sit at the bus stop for a while. It has been a long time since i last look at the rain. Zooming past us were buses, taxis, vans, lorries and cars. Suddenly i came to relate the vehicles with humans and our lives.

Like the vehicles,

some lives are fast-paced, while others are slow

some are small, while others are big

some are tall, while others are short

some are black, while others are white

some are beautiful, while others are not so beautiful

some are quiet, while others are noisy

some are gentle, while others are rough

and the lists juz goes on ...

Life can often get mundane, thus i must strive to be the fastest, most quiet, beautiful and gentle big car :)

Friday was my actual birthday but i actually spend the whole day in school and even ate lunch alone! However, what came later in the night were pleasant surprises!

Dear eil came to my school and waited for me outside my lecture theatre which ended around 2045. I was really shocked as i had not brought her to my school previously and there was no way she could make her way up the complicated school to my lecture theatre. Alas i knew the answer, she had contacted Yiling without my knowledge who guided her around my school.

If that surprise was not enough, she also bought my favourite cheese cake from secret recipe which we eventually ate at SIM! I was really so glad that my birthday ended on a high note. All credits to my dear :)

The last bit on my celebration was by village just hours ago. It was a combined celebration for dear and i since our birthdays are only days apart. We went to Manhattan Fish Market at PS. I had the seafood platter and i must say that it is quite similar to Fish & Co's. However, i personally feel that Fish & Co's food is slightly more tasty though the price is a little steeper. Don't they always say, you pay for what you get :)

Dear eil celebrated my birthday for me today, 1 day early of my actual birthday as i have lesson tomorrow night. I must say i was delighted with how the day had gone by, a simple yet fruitful one. It dosen't really matter where you go, it is who you are with that is most important.

We went KTV and i really sang my heart out! It was followed by a great dining experience at Rios Brazilian Restaurant. Ironically, we did not make a reservation, yet it seemed that we had booked the entire restaurant. The food was delicious and the waiters very polite and friendly.I totally enjoyed myself there and would recommend you to try it out. Thanks dear once again for the celebration :)

Let me tell you a story now. Dear and i were heading home on the MRT after dinner. Sitting behind the train driver was a lady in black, let's call her Mdm Black. The door seperated where Black and I seated. Another Indian man, back facing us, carrying a backpack stood in front of dear and i, let's call him Muthusammi. It was pouring heavily outside, so an insect which looked like a warpse to me(so let me call it warpsy), probably wanted to seek shelter, thus clinged onto Sammi's bag.

Dear has a real eagle eye and was first to spot Warpsy. She was so terrified, she covered herself with her jacket throughout the journey till she reached AMK. As she was alighing, i was afraid that Sammi's hard day at work might finally be taking a toll on him and he will want to take over dear's seat. Fortunately, an auntie saviour, i shall call her, saved me from the scare.

When the train reached Yio Chu Kang, Warpsy finally could not take the constant movement of Sammi anymore and decided to fly around to find a better spot. It took Warpsy a long time, catching the attention of many in the process before deciding to stop right above Mdm Black.

I simply love people watching. Her eyes were glued to Warpsy from then on while i took constant glances at Warpsy and Mdm Black to make sure the former does not change its mind and observe the worried latter until she and i both alighted at Woodlands :)

It was a real nerve wrecking morning. I was sitting on the bus practising what i might be asked to say to later.

Just yesterday, Viviane , who took an earlier class of Professional Communication on Monday for the first time, had told me how strict her tutor was, asking the students to go up one after another to make a speech on a random topic and expecting them to actively participate in class. As my first Prof Com class was just before her 2nd lesson at the same tutorial classroom, she reckond we might be having the same lecturer and warned me to be careful and told me the various topics her tutor set for the class.

Here i was sitting on the bus, listening to my mp3 while the various topics kept going through my mind. At some point of the time, i reassured myself that nothing was going to happen, afterall it was just going to be a 5 min speech. Everytime i tried to stop, it will automatically come back again. I just could not contain myself.

Just as i was about to reach school, the butterflies in my stomach suddenly transformed into some form of pain. Fortunately, i was early for class. I quickly walked to the nearest toilet to settle myself.

Time to go to class! I finally heaved a great sigh of relief when i realised that my tutor was a cucasian man in his 40s. It was completely different from the loud, strict and fearful head-of- english department tutor that Viviane mentioned. I somewhat like the way he teaches, clear and precise. I am going to enjoy my time with him :)

Good day to everyone. This is the opening ceremony of my blog. Firstly I think i need to explain why i am only doing this now. Well, i used to think that sharing my life on a blogspot is meaningless, that is I will only attract unwanted attentions. However, all these had an abrupt change after attending this first year module of mine, Entrepreneur Marketing.

I must say that the lecturer is a great one, with many years of experience in this field. I don't want to go in-depth but basically, he says that blogging is a good way to market ourselves. This is what I plan to do, market myself to my audience. I believe this is also a good means to keep in touch with my friends and let them know about my life.

To kick start what i am going to say, let me first orientate you to why i chose the name of my blog. I believe many of my close friends will know why I use babyBoon. The reason is simple. I always feel tired at say ten in the night and will even doze off halfway into a conversation with a group of friends. Overtime, my friends came up with this name for me. As the saying always goes, the rest is history.
